    Love the story

I love the story but I am sick of buying four books to read one story. Just charge me 5.99 for the whole story and quit making me wait a year to read another 175 pages.

For me, this series just keeps getting better and better. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for what may happen next. This book wasn't as much about sex,sex and more sex as the last one was. Not to say there isn't some of that too. THis was more about trying to earn trust back and figuring out who Sky is. I have a feeling that in the next book there is going to be even MORE suprises and I can't wait. I still love Chace but it is nice in a way to see him as more vulnerable in this book. This book is definitely a A plus. Not many books work at my emotions but this one just had a way about it that I couldn't help myself.

Charred Tears, by Lizzy Ford is a masterpiece of strong characters and even stronger story line.  This second book in the series is much more in depth and emotional, but still with its little doses of humor.  The characters are strong and consistent, the emotions of heavy.  Love, love, love the fight scenes!  Well done!

Chase no longer has his powers and now he realizes what he gave

Chase no longer has his powers and now he realizes what he gave up, and I'm not only talking about his powers. He now realizes what he gave up when he traded Skyler to Mr. Nothing. But how can he make her realize that he has learned his lesson and make her see how sorry he is, and would she ever believe him? There is more going on with the Slayers then they originally thought and more to Skyler being the Protector also. Whatever the slayers have done to the shifters Skyler can undo.

Can Chase get Skyler to trust in and believe in him enough in time to save her from trusting the wrong people? Can he save her from making a wrong choice that may put her in more danger?

This book was great! I loved it! There was lots of danger and some souls searching. There was some great making up! And some pairing up of enemies to go against a common enemy. I would highly recommend but I do say this should not be read as a stand alone. You do want to read the previous book first or you will be lost. Looking forward to the next book!
