Overview

She wants it. He's got it. And the chase is on...

Rough Riders, Book 11

Bull rider Chase McKay has finally landed in a pile too big to charm his way out of. Caught with his pants down, he finds himself bucked right off the PBR tour until he can get his act together.

Hollywood actress Ava Cooper became the tabloids' favorite target when her longtime boyfriend was outed as gay. Now she wants a place to lay low and a chance to prove to herself that she can satisfy a red-blooded man between the sheets. The sexy, rugged cowboy she finds holed up in her Wyoming hideaway seems like the answer to her every fantasy.

But Chase has sworn off women. Forever. Or at least a month. Whichever comes first.

When they take to the road to get Chase more hands-on bull riding experience, they have every intention of keeping their hands off each other. But the two headstrong stars quickly end up riding a hot and heady rodeo circuit all their own-until the press gets wind of their affair. When the dust clears and the lights of the paparazzi fade, are they ready to give up chasing the dream for a chance of finding forever?

Warning: Strap in, another hot McKay is about to bust out of the gate and this bull rider knows a thing or two about riding hard...

    Gotta LOVE SMOKIN' HAWT cowboys!!

If I could give MORE than FIVE stars I would!!! Move over Cord, you have to share your spot in my heart/fantasies with Chase =)

I was soo into the story and chemistry between Chase and Ava I could not put it down, I finished around 3;30 AM...Cowgirl Up And Ride will always be my favorite, but Chasin' Eight just shot right there next to it, maybe even a little ahead of it. One of the things I LOVE most about Chase is he has all the sexy McKay swagger, but there's something different about him, there are many depths to this Bad Boy McKay. I LOVED seeing how the relationship between Chase and Ava grew. There are a bunch of great tidbits about the other McKay's we love, just enough to satisfy my McKay addiction but not to detract from Ava and Chase's story. There's even a totally unexpected surprise in this book and NOPE....I'm not telling....

IMO Chasin' Eight could be a stand alone, even with the McKay tidbits in it. You could pick it up read it, get addicted and then start from the beginning, but of course I STRONGLY suggest to start at the beginning and get as addicted to the mouthwatering McKay's as I am. If you don't start at the beginning, then once you finish CE go back and start, you will be ready for a re-read of CE when you finish the first 10 books....

    I love this installment!

I thought this was one of the better books in the Rough Riders series. I thought Chase and Ava were a great romance. Even though Loelei James writes an awesome love scene I thought it was great to see their relationship come first and the hot sex second. Cant wait to see what is in store for the rest of them sexy McKay cowboys... Keely taking on motherhood would def be a great read....

    Love allmof Lorelei's work

Love this book, but I can say that of all of Lorelei's books. I have read the whole series at least 3 times! This book was more in-depth. Love how she worked in issues that need to be addressed in the rideo world! Can't wait for the rest of the series!

Ava and Chase want nothing more than to get away from civilizati

Ava and Chase want nothing more than to get away from civilization. When they discover they’re sharing a small trailer on McKay land, they try to make the best of it. She’s a famous actress who wants to escape the bright lights and his career as a bull rider on the PBR tour isn’t going so well. She’s on the rebound and he’s sworn off women, so they embark on a hands-off policy. Chase desperately wants back on the circuit and is willing to sacrifice anything to get there. He goes back to basics using a disguise and the training of a friend and experienced coach to attain his goal. Although it’s risky, he’s determined. Ava and Chase fight off mutual attraction until their close proximity leads them into the bedroom. As Chase rejoins the circuit, Ava documents their journey and Chase’s progress on video which leads to some interesting circumstances.

Anyone following the adventures of the McKays will want to add this book to their collection. James writes inventive plots and volatile chemistry that explodes between Amy and Chase. Although many McKays are present, the book can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sexy read that also has a sense of family.

Chase McKay is bad boy of Professional Bull Riding (PBR) circuit

Chase McKay is bad boy of Professional Bull Riding (PBR) circuit that finds himself in compromising position which earns him a suspension without any clear hope of returning to PBR circuit. Chase decides to use his down time to get back to basics of bull riding and swearing off women as well. Chase asks Kane if he could lay low at Ginger and Kane's trailer without letting his family know he's around. Ava Cooper Dumond, a Hollywood actress, just wants to get away from it all and decides that Wyoming is the place to be. Little did either Kane or Ginger know that they both agreed to let Chase and Ava stay at the trailer at the same time. Imagine Chase's surprise at finding a knockout already sleeping in the only bedroom and kicking himself for swearing off women just now. When Chase proposes that they go a road trip to get him back in good riding form. Ava jumps at the chance to go on an adventure. Chase sets limits on how traveling is going to work which really surprises Ava. Along the way Chase meets Ryan Ackerman, a young and naive rodeo bull rider, that makes him want to share his knowledge and companionship too. Can Ava really live in Chase's world? Can Chase really live in Ava's world? What benefits will Ryan's friendship bring Chase? Or are they still worlds apart? Your answers await you in Chasin' Eight.

I've wondered where Chase's story would go after he was introduced. Chase is the ultimate bad boy personified. Chase is selfish, ungrateful, and mostly unwilling to change his ways until he's kicked off PBR circuit. Chase learns alot about himself and how he treats women. Ava is feeling burned on many levels yet remain spoiled rich girl. Ava is unsure where her life is going and needs to find sense of direction. Together, Ava and Chase chemistry is off the charts. The Rough Riders Series continues to be unexpected, creative, real, and centering around the people as whole. Definitely looking forward to my next adventure in this series.

    Awesome story and read

Chasing Eight was one of my favorite in Rough Rider series. I like it because the storyline is great - and as much as I enjoy sex in Lorelei books I like it even better when you get to know the characters in depth. It's a close second in my mind to all Jacked Up - I just loved, loved Keely's story. The story between Chase and Ava is one that makes it hard to put the book down. Great read.
