Overview

Cleverly written as a "screenplay novel," CHASING DIANA is historical fiction at its finest. Initially inspired by the events they witnessed in Paris during the early morning hours of August 31, 1997, Robin and Jack Firestone's compelling narrative does much more than shed new light on that late summer evening when one of history's brightest flames was extinguished forever. Using a unique mixture of truth and fiction, CHASING DIANA is a parable for our times. Vicariously told through the eyes of lead characters Rhonda and James Goodrich, CHASING DIANA is the remarkable story of how a princess' death rips a closely knit family apart... and the healing process which ultimately unites them. A real page-turner from start to finish, replete with mystery, adventure, intrigue, irony and the idiosyncrasies of the human condition... that's the unforgettable reading experience of CHASING DIANA.

The characters were well defined and the author did a great job in bringing forth their personalities. Although the father left a lot to be desired in the beginning of the book as far as responsibility and character, at the end he seemed to make amends of his ways... I also wish that I had known more what was fact and what was fiction... the storyline was adventurous and fast paced... It <kept> me reading, hoping I could find some clues... Good job! All in all, an interesting book.

Chasing Diana, written by Jack and Robin Firestone... takes you through the trials and tribulations of the characters James and Rhonda Goodrich surrounding the death of Princess Diana. It is an enjoyable story. Fast paced, intriguing, and keeps the reader turning the page. A new look at the death of Princess Diana, for sure. You will not be disappointed.

Where were you the night Princess Diana died? Jack and Robin Firestone were in a taxi in Paris driving by the accident that tragically took the life of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed... a fictional account of the behind the scenes look into the deaths, with just enough truth thrown in to make you wonder... the story kept me riveted to the pages. We learn how Diana's death and the media frenzy that follows affects a family that's already experiencing personal turmoil... I recommend this book.

"A Total Page Turner!"
This book was a total page turner. The characters were easy to relate to and you could feel the emotion of their ordeal. I would love to talk to the authors to compare the fact and fiction that we, the readers, are faced with. It keeps you guessing and questioning even after you have finished. Awesome Job!

Rhonda, James and Ben Goodrich are on their way to Paris unknowing what they are about to witness, and the tragedy that is about to befall them. When they arrive, pretty much immediately they make enemies from the French. A family is working together to kill Dodi Al Fayed, but they end up killing Princess Diana in the process. Chasing Diana is written in a screenplay format, and the scene continues.

Being pursued for the photo¿s that James has on his camera, they¿re now on the ¿hit list.¿ Jacques and Laurent seem to fail at every turn. When the crash and deaths of Diana and Dodi Al Fayed are announced, James and Rhonda tell their story to TV shows all over the world. In a way James uses the publicity to further his own acting career and is an all out glory hog even against Rhonda¿s wishes.

A year later the couple are still pursued, the story has been told from their point of view, and now the are about to stare right into the barrel of a gun¿ how are they going to get out of this one?

As I said, Chasing Diana by Jack and Robin Firestone is written in screenplay format inspired by their own true story. It was a little distracting, I think this should be written as an actual book as I wasn¿t really into the screenplay, it lacked the necessary detail to be able to visualize the characters at times. If this were an actual movie and I were watching it, it would be amazing I¿m sure. The story that is told by James and Rhonda is truly captivating and I can not even begin to fathom what it was like to be them although it was hard to tell what was true and what was fiction. The only qualm I have is the formatting, besides that it gives you a peek into what may have happened the day Princess Diana¿s car crashed. 3.5 Hearts

Where were you the night Princess Diana died? I was at a baseball game but Jack and Robin Firestone were in a taxi in Paris driving by the accident that tragically took the life of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed. Chasing Diana is a fictional account of the behind the scenes look into the deaths with just enough truth thrown in to make you wonder. Cleverly written as a screenplay, the story kept me riveted to the pages. We learn how Diana¿s death and the media frenzy that follows does, affects a family that¿s already experiencing personal turmoil. Throughout the whole book I wondered exactly how much was fiction and how much was reality. This was the first screenplay style novel that I¿ve read and it easy to read. I recommend this book to anyone who had any interest in Princess Diana and those who want a speedy one or two day read.

This was one of the worst books I have ever read. Not worth your time.
