For the review that said it was interesting, don't kid yourself- it stunk.
Storyline was very dull and the authors style was to literally jump from character to character to character and over and over again. It had no substance.

Awful- no Amish or romance or even a real storyline.

Short- about 100 pages. There was absolutely nothing Amish about this story and characters certainly didnt act or speak like real Amish. There were too many characters to keep straight in this short story therefore all of the mini stories within didnt take on anything meaningful and you couldnt connect with any of the characters. This wasnt worth the few minutes of my time that it took to read it; time i will never get back again. Dont make the same mistake...

    Not that great

The characters were poorly introduced. The plot was hard to follow. The authenticity was sorely missing. I will be hard pressed to read anything from this author again.

    !

What an incredibly boring book. It jumped from character ti character with no chance to invest any of them. A simply terribly, boring book.

    Short Story.

I believe it was a great baisis for a series of full stories. Stories about the struggles of Amish children and the choices they must make in life. The ending came about abruptly. With a it more work and editting could be a good series.

I know a lot about the amish since some live right up my road!! Depending on their type of Amish beliefs they may or may not be allowed to use ANYTHING electric. The men HAVE to have a beard and a hat on. They make AMAZING food and have really cheap anything at their stores. I LOVE AMISH!!!!

This is a poorly written and undeveloped story. There were multiple errors, flat characters, and a choppy storyline that made it difficult to follow the action. The author also seemed to have little understanding of the Amish lifestyle which made this Amish book very unbelievable. Save your time and read a classic.

    Not so good

I could not get into this book. The characters and the story lacked depth and was very disjointed. There were no views into the Amish way of life and customs. Also there were way too many characters for such a short story. If I had picked this up without a title or cover, I would never have thought that this was a story of the Amish. The story may have been better with more detail given about Amish life, language and customs. Also with all the characters, it would have been better if it was a longer book, to give these characters some time and depth to flesh out the story.
