Book Four in The Hunted Series …

FBI agent Tyler Reed trusts only facts and evidence, until the day a beautiful blonde delivers a life-saving warning ... based on nothing more than a vision.

Five years later, the mysterious Morgan Standish has used her talents to help Tyler and the FBI bring down countless criminals. Still, Tyler knows next to nothing about her. She contacts him by phone—and by some sort of psychic connection he's not prepared to admit exists—but has not shown herself once. Until now.

Morgan's gift may let her see things others can't, but it comes at a price. Getting too close to anyone is dangerous, especially the gorgeous, moody Special Agent Reed. For she's seen the future: if they meet again too soon, an innocent could be lost.

But when Tyler's latest case forces Morgan out of hiding, she is the one thrust into the path of a serial killer, the Psychic Slayer, who will stop at nothing to protect the secrets only Morgan can see.

Library Journal

Everyone knew from the moment Tyler Reed and FBI psychic and empath Morgan Standish met briefly four years ago that they were destined for each other. What they didn't know was why Morgan spent the intervening period keeping her distance from Tyler. The Psychic Slayer is making his way through the psychics in the Yellow Pages, and Morgan predicts that she is his final victim. VERDICT Fans of Mary Burton and Mary Higgins Clark will enjoy this suspenseful series. [Xpress Reviews, 10/25/13.]—Heather Lisa Maneiro, Minnesota State Univ. Lib., Moorhead

Meet the Author

Jennifer Ryan is the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author of The Hunted Series. She writes romantic suspense and contemporary small-town romances featuring strong men and equally resilient women. Her stories are filled with love, friendship, and the happily-ever-after we all hope to find. Jennifer lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, three children, dog (Bella), and cat (Shadow).

When she isn't writing a book, she's reading one. Her obsession with both is often revealed in the state of her home and in how late dinner is to the table. When she finally leaves those fictional worlds, you'll find her in the garden, playing in the dirt and daydreaming about people who live only in her head, until she puts them on paper.

4.6 Star Review – Chasing Morgan

    I recommend this book.
I enjoyed this book by Jennifer. This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, psychics and murders.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books first.
Saved by the Rancher (The Hunted #1)
Lucky Like Us (The Hunted #2)
The Right Bride (The Hunted #3)

FBI Agent Tyler Reed has been working with a psychic for the last 5 years via phone calls. Before that he really didn’t believe in anything that he could see. When a woman came up to him and gave him information that lead him to be able to save his sister’s life he started to believe.

That was the last time he saw Morgan Standish in the flesh. Morgan has been helping Tyler & his partner Sam since that day on their cases. She is in Tyler’s head and can sometimes talk directly to him in his mind. If he needs her he thinks about her and she will call him. He vents all his problems to her and she listens. All Morgan has asked of him in all the years is that it never get out that she is helping him.

When a detective who is mad about the FBI & Morgan solving his case tells the press Tyler and a psychic named Morgan were working together all hell breaks loose. Tyler can feel Morgan scream and pull away from him. He feels so empty without her presence that he has felt for the last 5 years. Since Tyler has only ever received contact via the phone from Morgan he has no idea where she is and how to contact her.

Her father calls and tells Tyler her last name which they had not known before and asks where she is. After they run checks on him they find out he has been in prison and holds Morgan responsible for him being there. Even with her name they can’t find her.

When other psychic’s in the town are being murdered they try even harder to contact her. With every new murder they know the killer wants Morgan as he thinks she can see all that he has done. He wants to kill her last but he must kill all the others so they can’t see his past evil deeds.

Morgan has been living as Matt’s (Sam’s twin brother; Sam) neighbor for the past two years. She has sworn him to secrecy about her location and not telling Tyler or Sam. After losing her connection with Tyler she has no idea until Matt tells her that there is a killer killing the off the psychic’s.

She comes to town to help Sam and Tyler. But will Tyler accept her help? Can she save the next psychic from the killer? While she is helping out the FBI will her father find her? What exactly is in Morgan’s past that Tyler didn’t know because he never asked?

Tyler is sweet but misguided in his relationships. He is all about setting down but at what cost? Morgan is a sweet woman. When she has a vision it drains her and leaves her exhausted. As she helps out more and more what cost is it putting on her mentally and physically?

    It was ok

Jennifer Ryan writes like a 12 year old. But at least this book was better than 'The Right Bride' or whatever it was called, what an ignorant book. Anyway, she has the potential to be a good writer, but so far she is a long way from being one. Her leading men are childish, jealous/petty for no reason, Jack can't let his 24 year old sister have a life, his brother and friends can't look or talk to his wife without him having a snit fit same with Sam. Cameron is an idiot, Sam is immature for an FBI agent, and Tyler is ok but needs to grow up. Caleb is about the only one with a brain from the beginning but he had his moments. The author needs to go back to school. In all the books her grammar and spelling needs help and from reading the other reviews I'm not the only one that thinks that way and she needs a new editor that won't be afraid to tell her some of the stuff she writes is just simply stupid. Not to mention an editor that will do their job. If the books had been more than $1.99 I wouldn't have bought the second one on...and would have wanted my money back.

    It was ok

Personally, I liked the previous books in this series better. I thought that Tyler's friends and family were very unfeeling and uncaring toward him. They were punishing him for not being a good friend to Morgan, when she had treated him the same way. I was disappointed in the characters.

Romance reasders- you've got to read this!

After reading the preview to this book I looked up the author and bought books 1-4 and proceeded to read them in order. I was glad I did although you don't have to. I have the same thing to say about this as I do about the other in this series. Great books. They have enough romance, danger and development of characters to keep you wanting more!

    Fantastic series!

I enjoyed this 4th book in the "Hunted Series". I think Jennifer Ryan is just as good as Nora Roberts' stories. I will definitely look for more books by this author!

    OK

This book was ok, not the best in the series. I liked Tyler, but never really like Morgan. While she has a special talent, she is human, but the character was almost dream like, as if she wasn't real. The other books in the series were better.

    Great end to the series

I loved all four books and fell in love with the characters and the family they became. Jennifer Ryan is on my list of new fav authors. Just found the prequel to the hunted series in a small box set with a couple other authors. About summer and caleb . Im going to read that book asap!

Not quite as good as the first three in the series.

I didn't find it as 'compelling' as the first three in the series. I felt as if there should have been more character development, but if you liked the first three (in the series) then you might enjoy this as well.
