Overview

Alice was wrong – Wonderland wasn’t so wonderful after all.

Kat never expected to be back in her hometown, but when house sitting turns into a mad rabbit chase, Kat finds herself with a whole new set of problems.

A two headed bird with a Game of Thrones obsession, a party full of tea addicts, and a Cheshire Cat who could seduce the pants off her grandma? And if the citizens weren’t bad enough their prince was off his rocker.

This wasn’t your run of the mill Wonderland. This was the Fae world, where rules are rules, and some things are exactly as they seem.

A new twist on the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. " Come Home" the dark voices call to her, so she did. Kat is being harassed by her mother to date a well to do man and marry, leave her tasteless job as a librarian and sell her grandmothers house. All Kat wants is to be left alone and stop those damn rabbits from eating her carrots! After chasing the rabbit out of her garden once again she is determined to catch him and follows him into a hole..... Now the fun begins! A new twist at every turn for a childhood favorite story. Meet a sexy Cheshire, a lousious Dark Prince and a wicked, wicked Alice. But how does Kat fit into this story? Read on and find out...

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite tales and quite frankly, I couldn’t imagine how it could successfully be retold - the original is too edgy, too weird and unique. So I went in assuming that I would be disappointed. Boy was I wrong. This grown up, modern version is very similar and very different to the original - it’s just as plain crazy, in the way that make you wonder what the author was smoking when she wrote it, and somehow, it still works: it made me smile, grimace and think “what the hell?” Bottom line is, you won’t read anything like it before or after - it maintains the essence and the craziness of Alice in Wonderland.

OMG what can I say about this book!!!! What's not to love about it, gives a whole new spin to "Alice" and "Wonderland". Erin Bedford truly knows how to make you feel like you are a part of the story, as well as to make this Fairy tale more adult and come to life. Kat is so down to earth, sassy, independent, funny, and speaks her mind. The Dark Prince is such a sexy moody jerk, who you grow to love and understand. Cheshire S. Cat is another sexy character with his mysterious ways, use of words, and tail! You will have to read to find out about the tail and you will be wanting him for your own. Mop and Trip our unlikely little heroes who help Kat, are hard not to love. One is moody, the other a goof ball. I'm counting down to the next book in this series, adult Fairy tales rock!!!

Received this book free for an honest review. Alice in Wonderland - The Remix Edition. Like others, I found this book hard to follow. I had to put it down and pick it back up later several times. I couldn't get in to it, but I kept reading to honor my commitment. This book started to get clearer towards the end, as far as the plot was concerned. I must say that Katherine seemed more childish than her proposed 22 year old self. It got cumbersome at times. I just had to remember that I was more mature at that age. It was a good book and I appreciate the author trying to set up her world for us. This is normal in some cases where the authors try to set up a stage. I believe she spent a lot of time with the narrative because it's loosely based on a well beloved book and she was putting her own spin on things. That being said, I can't wait for 'Chasing Cats', Book 2.

A new kind of Wonderland Chasing Rabbits has an amazing story line... I was always questioning myself after I read certain parts and always thinking what if? What if she did this and what if she did that... but it never turned out the way I thought. Katherine (Kat) follows or chases what she thinks is a rabbit that is always getting into her garden and stealing her carrots. And Kat does what any person would do when her curiosity gets to them when they chase a rabbit to a cave and finds a hole in the wall. She looks in and gets pulled into new wold... What happens in this new strange word? Who does Kat meet? And what kind of adventure does Kat have? For the answers for these pondering questions you will need to read Chasing Rabbits... I did and I loved it to the very end and can't wait for book 2 to come out...

I love how the author changed a classic around and gave it new life. Kat gets in and out of trouble just as Alice did. This book has a more adult flavor to it than the original. the Cheshire Cat was always my personal favorite character, and I still love him here, a lot! Kat starts out as an insecure librarian. As she makes her way through Wonderland, meeting new and troubling people, learning to cope and succeed, or not, you see that she changes and evolves. Wonderful writing and I can't wait to read more.

Oh my goodness this book was so good! I love a stand up take control character and "Lady" or Kat was such a realistic character. I can't to read the next book
