Overview

Samantha Demakis doesn’t want a mate right now. Her birth-rite and family obligations to her status as the first daughter of a noble family beg to differ. In fact, even her wolf seems to be against her. When a chance encounter reveals the man who might just be a perfect fit, will she run? Or will she fight?

Chase Michaels has been alone for seventy-five years. He’s fought in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan in the US Army. Somewhat resigned to never finding his true mate, he is shocked when his wolf reacts so strongly to a woman he runs into in the airport. Unprepared for the politics and snobbery of the noble families, Chase finds himself fighting in a different type of war —a war for the heart of a woman he knows should be his.

A lot of things are chasing Sam, but who or what will catch her in the end?

What to say about this wonderful book? When I read, I enjoy losi

What to say about this wonderful book? When I read, I enjoy losing myself in the atmosphere, finding that I can "see" what is being played out before me on the page. This book and this talented author have that just ability.

I found that I needed to read more and more. This was a book that I could not put down. With each chapter, a little more peeled back and revealed. The characters grow and develop. To me they felt like real people; like people I could know, not some contrived character created to do amazing and astounding things as often seen in the popular literature. They experience true pain and hurt, but they also are capable of receiving and giving love, even for feeling hope. There is so much more beyond the surface of these characters.

Utterly beautiful, completely stunning, sexy sizzling shifters, spectacular, no matter what worlds I'll use I don't feel I can make this book justice. it is in time like these, when I have read a masterpiece like this, that I simply adored. I wish I had magic powers so I could simply convince everyone to read this hypnotic book.

Their love story is so beautiful. The way it started, the way it grows, the way it blossoms... this book deserves to be read and enjoyed. I would STRONGLY suggest this book to any of my friends. It's an incredible love story I cannot say enough good things about it and I cannot wait to read the next one!

I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest, non-reciprocal, review.

The caste system is alive and semi-functional in the shifter world. In modern day Las Vegas, Sam is an unwilling participatant in a barbaric ritual that is decide who will be her mate. Will the chivalrous Chase, so below her station be victorious? Or will she be forced to spend the rest of her life with someone who only wants her because of political gain? Although falling a bit short in the romance department due to it’s short length, Chasing Sam is action packed and filled with enough drama to make this a very promising start to a series you do not want to miss.

This is a very readable book about family life. How parents try to do what they think is best for their children. Aside from the supernatural aspect of the book the underlying theme is a good character study. Please take the time to read this book. I do recommend it.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Krystal Shannon

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Krystal Shannon truly delivered with this story. Sam is an independent woman/wolf who plans on becoming a doctor, not becoming a ruling entity for her pack. Chase is your average working man/wolf enjoying life. The instant attraction between the two scares them but is worth investigating for both of them. Of course, there is major family drama trying to keep the two apart. She is after all royalty and he is not. I like that the shifters are not governed by instinct, and that their animal side is a seperate and distintive personality that they converse with. Chasing Sam is funny and smart without being too wordy. This book was great to read and I did not want to put it down to run errands or cook. I finished it and went directly into the next one. Yay.

    Fast cute read.

Short read, but highly entertaining. Wish the ending cleared up some of the questions brought up in the book. But still enjoyed it.

Chasing Sam by Krystal Shannon is a fast, fun read.  I especially liked the unique relationships between the characters and their wolves.  And who doesn't love a giant bear?  I know I did.  This little peek into the Demakis and Michaels families left me excited to read more of the series. I cannot wait to see where Krystal Shannon will take me next.

    Short story

I loved the story. I hated that it was only about 60 pages. Felt like i was left hanging. I looked at the next book in the series and it is a story about Scott one of the minor characters in this book. I wanted a continuation of this story. I gave it a 3 only because there was so much more of the story to be told.

My rating is 4.5. May contain Spoilers.

I was really going to give this book a solid 5.
Even though the book had me from the beginning, the ending was not really what I was expecting. You have Sam who has put off being mated to someone Noble. That is until she meets Chase, Sam and her inner wolf feels as though he is her soul mate. But Chase and Sam's family seem to have bad blood between them which of course you know had to happened. Will Chase and Sam end up together or will Sam have to be with someone her heart and wolf doesn't want.

Now I really liked Sam being as she stood her ground she didn't like to be told. And when Sam and her mother almost got into it wow! I was like damn who is gonna win this argument.

Now when they were out hunting the other wolves and Chase I felt there could have been a bit more action. It seemed to go by so quickly. I do hope there is another book within this series, because I want to know what Sam's family is going to think after the series of events that happened on the hunt.

Chasing Sam is about a girl, Samantha, who has returned home for

Chasing Sam is about a girl, Samantha, who has returned home for Christmas break from college. She is a wolf and nobility among other wolves. As part of the nobility, she is required to go through the Mate Hunt when she turns 25. She has done the best she could not to home this year because her 25th birthday has come and gone. She knows what is expected of her, but intends to avoid the rite for as long as possible. The mate hunt is all about the eligible noble males hunting her down in the woods to lay their claim on her as their mate. Once they catch her, they mark and are married. There's no love involved and the wolves inside of the two aren't connected as wolves normally are. Over time, their wolves will learn to accept one another in order to survive, but this is not the life that Sam wants. She especially doesn't want it after running into another wolf in the airport. This new wolf excites the wolf inside of her and she knows without a doubt that she has actually met her soul mate. He is not nobility, but learns how to enter the mate hunt anyway in order to win Sam away from her loveless fate.

It's a really quick read. These are the types of stories I am on the hunt for right now since I don't get a lot of time to read these days. It got into the action quickly and as long as you don't want the romance to be built up, it is quite enjoyable. The author gives you all the elements you need to understand the story, but I do wish there was a little more about Sam's past. I think that might come in other books since the second novella is about Sam's mom. I liked the character development for each of the characters enough that when I have a chance, I will probably buy the rest of the series.

    Short and sweet

This was a good read. I just wish that it was longer. I want to know what happened after she was caught and marked her. Did he get a seat on the cancel? Did she immediately return back to school? Why does her mother hate her so much? So many unanswered questions.

Samantha Demarkis is going home for Christmas and she meets chase Michaels on the plane. Their inner wolves recognize that they are made for each other. Samantha doesn't want a mate yet because she wants to finish medical school.

Chase Michaels has just finished his third tour in Afghanistan as a Army Ranger. They can't ignore their attraction to each other but Samantha's parents have other ideas.

Samantha's family is one of the noble families and they still believe in the mate hunt to keep their bloodlines pure. They have set up one for Samantha. There are other contenders besides Chase vying to be Samantha's mate, so the hunt in on. Whoever wins the hunt wins Samantha.

I so disliked Samantha's mother but loved her supportive sisters! The hunt has you on the edge of your seat. Great story, lots of drama, action and hot romance. I highly recommend this book and looking forward to the next one! (BO)
