    Highly recommended.

Here it is short and sweet: 90% of the photography instruction books on the shelf at the book store are useless and a complete waste of money. Why? I don't need the author to insult my artistic intelligence by telling me which lens to use, or what an aperture is. You learn those on DAY 1 of your 9th grade photography course in high school. Teach me something! Well, Chasing the Light does just that- it teaches you about THEE most important aspect of photography, which is light! I'm not going to critique this book chapter by chapter. Just give it a try and you will see and hopefully learn about light and why knowledge of how to use light is CRITICAL to good photography. Ibarionex Perello is not only a great photographer, but he has written a wonderful and useful book.
