Meet the Author

Stephen King is the author of more than fifty books, all of them worldwide bestsellers. His recent work includes End of Watch, the short story collection The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, Finders Keepers, Mr. Mercedes (an Edgar Award winner for Best Novel), Doctor Sleep, and Under the Dome. His novel 11/22/63—a recent Hulu original television series event—was named a top ten book of 2011 by The New York Times Book Review and won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Mystery/Thriller as well as the Best Hardcover Book Award from the International Thriller Writers. His epic series, The Dark Tower, is the basis for a major motion picture from Sony. David Cronenberg is a Canadian filmmaker whose career has spanned more than four decades. Born in Toronto, Canada, Cronenberg was inducted onto Canada’s Walk of Fame in 1999. In 2002, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada, and in 2006 he was awarded the Cannes Film Festival’s lifetime achievement award, the Carrosse d’Or; he is also an Officer in France’s Order of Arts and Letters (1990), and a Chevalier in its Legion of Honor (2009). Cronenberg’s many feature films include Stereo, Crimes of the Future, The Dead Zone, The Fly, Naked Lunch, M. Butterfly, Crash, A History of Violence, A Dangerous Method, and Cosmopolis (an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel). His most recent film, A Map to the Stars, starring Julianne Moore, Joan Cusack, and Robert Pattinson, opened at the New York Film Festival in Fall 2014.

Lindsay Crouse is an award-winning veteran of the New York stage. In television she has guest-starred on Law and Order, E.R., C.S.I., NYPD Blue, Alias, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some of her best loved films include The Verdict, House of Games, The Insider, Daniel, Slapshot, Indian In The Cupboard and Places in the Heart, for which she received an Academy Award nomination.

Four short stories originally found in, "Nightmares & Dreamscapes." Kathy Bates reads "Chattery Teeth," Jerry Garcia "My Pretty Pony," Daniel Cronenberg "Sneakers", and Lindsay Crouse "Dedication." A pair of metal teeth in a convenience store are more than just a novelty. In "My Pretty Pony" a young boy is warned by his grandfather of letting time slip away.
