If you are trying to get a book to be a type of lifesaver for any type of chemistry class, this is not the book. I'm in general chemistry now (university level) and I am having some struggles visualizing the concepts. My understanding is to understand the concepts, not memorize (I'm no specialist). This book is 22 pages of general words like 'cool' 'stuff you don't need to know'. It feels like the author is trying to tell you, Chemistry isn't complicated, and this book won't attempt to explain any of it... try again.

If i was trying to understand any concepts of chemistry... I wouldn't recommend this book.

Motivates you to your next book

Trying to get into or back into chemistry? This crap is cheap and it pumped me up for a longer chemistry review book (Chemistry Essentials, for dummies). After that is the real college textbook. - Engineer major undergrad (hey whatever, sometimes you need whatever help/motivation you can get, one inch at a time)

    Ok but not very informative

Good for an introduction but for not much else. In addition there are some formatting issues which makes things misleading. For example, they write Avogadro's number as 6.02 x 1023 instead of 6.02 x 10*23 (that is 10 to the 23rd power).
