Being a Cherokee, I know how hard it is to find good books, but this one was a great one. I highly recommend it!

I found this book very interesting and most of the stories enjoyable, however there were some issues. Some stories are identified as not actually Cherokee, which while fine and still enjoyable make the title a bit misleading. further more some stories contradicted each other such as the story of creation. I don't know if that was because they were from different sub-Cherokee groups (if this was the case personally I would have appreciated the distinction) or if they from other tribes entirely and not identified or if there is some other explanation. Also at time there would be some stories where an animal is identified by it's English name and others a Native American name, and we aren't always told the translation. I'd almost suspect there was actually more than one author. The stories are still interesting, but the issues I mentioned before made if feel very disconnected, taking away some of the enjoyment

I enjoyed learning the Native stories

This "book" is a daunting 58 pages and not well edited. I am sorry I spent my money on this. I could have found better information, better written, with an internet search.
