if you can find this set, good luck. i found one at a thrift store a few years ago and loved the board and the pieces they both worked for when i was on the go and had limited space. The book that is included is short and way skimpy on the details. Also packaging was a total waste of metal and plastic, box could have been smaller and still fit everything within it and really did not need such a big box. if you try to find on the used/out of print, you will find only the book not the board and the pieces also. sooo good luck in finding this set and if you do ENJOY.

This is ok as a starter chess set for a young child as it certainly would not be satisfactory as a chess set for club or tournament use. The book is reasonably good. It is best used if a parent is reading it and using it to teach their younger children, as it is not easy reading for young kids.
