Terrible eBook of a Great Classic

There are no illustrations at all! Complete waste of 99 cents.

You are better off getting it from Project Gutenberg for free!

Whoever is taking money for this, is as greedy as he is lazy. Didn't even bother to get one of the versions from Project Gutenberg with pictures!

    Great Book, Bad Edition

This book is a classic. Every serious player should be familiar with each and every concept it covers. The best sections, in my opinion, are 'Two Rooks and Pawns' and 'A Player's Motives Analyzed in a Specimen Game'. Most of the endings a player gets into will be rook endings and they are none too easy. This book got only 3 stars not because of the material covered, but the physical construction of the book itself. My copy fell apart. The pages fell out after only one reading. The McKay edition is muck more duable, though it is in descriptive notation.
