Mr. Walsh must have lived in the neighborhood around the same time I did. He perfectly captures the feeling of the north side in the late 50s and 60s. If you want to fondly recall your childhood, or understand a simpler time when the "neighborhood" was your whole world, read this book. It is an easy read, and touches on sites and locations anyone from the Uptown/Ravenswood area would know. I recommend this for a nice winter afternoon read.
