Barnes & Noble - William Pearl
As with many movie spin-off soundtracks, rhyme or reason for the selection of the tracks isn’t a major concern here. Still, for sheer enjoyment, Chicken Little brings together enough pop-proven items that it pays off quite nicely. It’s not everyday that R.E.M. rubs up against Diana Ross, for example, but when the songs are as strong as “It’s the End of the World as We Know It” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” you go with the flow with a smile on your face. Add in Patti LaBelle’s remake of her grooving Beverly Hills Cop hit “Stir It Up,” with Joss Stone pitching in, Five for Fighting’s fine take on the Art Garfunkel classic “All I Know,” the Cheeta Girls ripping ...

Add in Patti LaBelle’s remake of her grooving Beverly Hills Cop hit “Stir It Up,” with Joss Stone pitching in, Five for Fighting’s fine take on the Art Garfunkel classic “All I Know,” the Cheeta Girls ripping through the old R&B anthem “Shake a Tail Feather,” and the delightful soon-to-be-classic “One Little Slip” from Barenaked Ladies, and you’ve got a winner on your hands. Not to overlook the thoroughly goofy voice cast takes on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “We Are the Champions,” and “Wannabe.” Great art? Not really. Big fun? Definitely.
All Music Guide - Heather Phares
Chicken Little is a pretty standard soundtrack for Disney circa the mid-2000s, offering a mix of the studio's own teen pop and a handful of vintage tracks along with excerpts of John Debney's score and songs sung by the film's characters. While Patti LaBelle and Joss Stone's reworking of LaBelle's hit "Stir It Up" ends up being a little less distinctive than the original and Five for Fighting's piano ballad "All I Know" feels a bit too gloomy within the context of the album's other songs, Barenaked Ladies' "One Little Slip" and R.E.M.'s especially apt "It's the End of the World as We Know It And I Feel Fine" capture the film's quirky charm. This vibe is especially apparent on the songs performed by the Chicken Little cast; "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," Chicken Little's "We Are the Champions," and Abby Mallard and Runt of the Litter's "Wannabe" play like barnyard karaoke and have an appealingly silly charm. However, Debney's witty, malleable score might be the best part of the soundtrack. Ranging from the appropriately melodramatic, bombastic "The Sky Is Falling" to the triumphant majesty of "The Big Game" to the whimsical antics of "Dodgeball," Debney's compositions do a great job of embodying the film's quick emotional shifts. While Chicken Little is a slightly uneven soundtrack, its best moments should please fans of the movie.

    THE BEST MOVIE SOUNDTRACK EVER!!!!!!

I loved the movie chicken Little!! The songs just bring back all the memories of the movie back. The songs Wannabe and Don't Go Breakin My Heart were the best. These people deserved to be congratulated on a really good job well done on this soundtrack. It will be part of my collection!!
