Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Triumph of the Spirit

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Triumph of the Spirit contains a selection of 14 inspirational songs from throughout the pop-rock era, plus a short speech ("Closing Thoughts on the Triumph of the Spirit") by Jack Canfield, author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. It's hard to see how "I'm Still Standing," "We Are the Champions," "Invincible," "I Am Woman," "Hold On," "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now," "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," "Yes We Can" and "My Way" provide spiritual sustenance, but they do make for a pleasing pop-rock collection.

Good collection for lifting your spirit.

After you've listened to a song, the tune and lyrics often go through your mind for many hours. This CD not only has great music, but the lyrics going through your head afterwards are uplifting, courage-building, and positive. A great collection. I'm the author of the book, Self-Help Stuff That Works, and I'm an expert on what works. Listening to music like this really works to keep your determination firm, your resilience strong, and your attitude positive.
