Meet the Author

Nancy Queen is one of the Chicks with Sticks, the creators of a popular line of knitting and crochet patterns sold in yarn shops. A popular designer and instructor, she is the author of Crochet for Tots.

    Don't Judge a Book by its Cover

    My daughter and I have been knitting for a couple of years and were looking for a fun book so that we could move on to some new patterns. We thought this sounded just right for us. When it came we were very disappointed. Ninty percent of the patters are for sweaters and the other ten percent weren't very interesting. If you are looking for fun patterns like hats, booties, scarves, gloves, easy blankets - this isn't the book you want. We were very disappointed.

    Great knitting book for beginner and advanced beginners!

    As someone who already knew how to knit and purl, but not much else I was looking for a book that could take me from absolute beginner to the next level. Most of the books out there have very complicated patterns with minimal instructions. This book takes you step by step through the process with pictures, diagrams and easy to read text. In addition, the patterns are for beautiful and useful items.

    Highly recommended to take you to the next level!

    Great Book to Start Your Knitting Addiction!

    I had a really hard time learning how to knit because books were not clear enough for me to understand. This book is a great beginner's book because it has clear pictures and directions and spells out every step for you along your merry path of knitting. Of all of my knitting books, and I have many now, this would be my number one choice.

    The best 'learn to knit' book

    This book really got me moving with picking up knitting. I have taken classes and dabbled little by little, but this book is written so clearly and the projects progress one tiny skill at a time. If you work through the book you will go from knitting a simple scarf to a men's argile sweater. I highly recommend this book!
