About the Author

Dr. Sandhya Joshi is presently working as a Reader at Faculty of Social Work, M.S. University of Baroda, Baroda (India) and has more than 15 years of experience of teaching Social Work at post-graduate level. She obtained her master's degree from Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi and doctoral degree from M.S. University of Baroda. Recipient of Cleveland International Fellowship of one year, Dr. Joshi, interalia, undertook research Department of Children and Family Services, Cleveland, U.S.A. She has also presented professional papers on various subjects in India and abroad. Her special interest fields are social development, health and well being of women and children. She has actively associated herself with a few voluntary organisations in Baroda city.
