Growing up with a Grandmother that threw tea parties for a living sets you up for a love of all things dealing with tea parties! I would receive tea sets, tea, books about tea parties, anything you can imagine going along with a tea party, and I loved every minute of it. When I had my first little girl I knew that having tea parties would most definitely be in the future and I knew I wanted to make them as special to her as my Grandmother did for me. My daughter loves to read and look through books and I couldn't think of a better way to introduce her to the basics of a "real" tea party then a book. I came across "A Child's Introduction to Tea" by Michele Pollard Patrick, published by Dorrance Publishing. I was surprised at how well it went into every detail of having a proper tea party, many of which I had forgotten over the years. I liked how easy it was to read and how simple things were explained. The only thing I thing I would prefer would be colored pictures as opposed to black and white, but they are detailed drawings and very beautifully done. I received a complimentary copy of A Child's Introduction to Tea as a member of the Dorrance Publishing Book Review Team. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
