Chimpanzees (Early Bird Nature Books Series)

Chimpanzees (Early Bird Nature Books Series)

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The photograph on the cover of a baby chimpanzee is so appealing that it is hard to resist. This delightful book is educational, interesting and all-around fun to read. Adults, as well as children, sometimes forget that humans are primates just as monkeys and chimpanzees are. The author includes many little-known facts, such as chimps talk to each other, and like people, they have their own voices and personalities. Facts of interest are found on every page. There are two pages of suggestions to adults in sharing this fascinating book with children. There is also a glossary, index, table of contents and a list of words vital to the story. There are fifty-four books in the "Early Bird Nature Books" series and all meet the standards for the lower and middle grade science curriculum. 2005, Lerner Publications Company, Ages 4 to 10.
