Meet the Author

Chen Congzhou (1918-2000), was a well-renowned expert in ancient Chinese architecture and gardens. Chen Congzhou led the effort for this book and penned the Foreword.
Lu Bingjie is a professor of architecture at Tongji University. Lu Bingjie wrote the "Introduction," the chapter "Earth Buildings."
Pan Hogxuan is a renowned photograph and is the author of many books including A History of Bridges, A History of Architecture, Stone Bridges in Shzoxing, and several others.
