I bought this book to support the author, who managed to show the nation that vegan fare can be just as tasty, if not tastier, than non-vegan fare. Although I did gain a few tips from the book, I was disappointed that many of the recipes are vegan, but NOT healthy vegan. Unfortunately, many people who switch to vegan simply become junk-food vegans. If you're interested in a healthy and sustainable way of eating, read The China Study, Eat to Live, Superimmunity, or watch the movie Forks Over Knives. Those explain how to live healthy until your dying day. Not only do my vegan meals taste better than their non-vegan counterparts, I never get hungry in between meals and feel better physically and mentally than I have my whole life. As Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine said, "Let your food be your medicine." Unfortunately, modern medicine ignores this wisdom because you can't make a buck off of telling people to eat their veggies.

I bought this a week ago and have already made two recipes. Both of them were amazingly good! I have lots of vegan cookbooks but this one gets me excited to try new things. I can't wait to make my next meal!

There is not a receipe in this book that I have not tried that I do not absolutely love! My family and I are not vegans but were interested in eating healthier. This book quickly became a fav in the house and with it we are not in want of meat at all! I recommend this book on the highest level - it will make your tummy smile!

I bought the nook version this morning---made the Chinese Take Out Chow Mein for dinner it was yummy!!! Neither my family nor myself are vegan or vegetarian but do try to include a few meatless days into our diet a week! The book seems great so far with lots of information!

I have literally over 50 cookbooks, mostly vegetarian & vegan. This is by far my favorite! Delicious dishes, beautiful pictures & easy to follow instructions.

I am not a vegan or a vegetarian and I love this cookbook. Everything I have made is delicious and easy. I could serve any of the dishes I've made at any dinner party and they would be gone! I highly recommend this cookbook!

Is awesome i think she should have another book that you find more raw recipes she is wonderful and it one of my favirites books but she makes to much sweet and from the can stuff which is great if you are on the rush and learning but after that you need to modify to really find all the nutrients in food all the best to a wonderfull chef

This is my favorite vegan cookbook so far. She uses real whole ingredients to make real balanced meals not "fake chicken patty + rice" like many of the vegan books. The recipes are delicious and easily made. I wish there were more recipes inside, but I guess I will have to wait for her to come out with another one!

I have never loved a cookbook as much as I love this one! I make recipes out of this cookbook multiple times a week. I make food for my non-vegan friends and family and they all ask for the recipes. I enjoy the shocked looks when I tell them the recipes are vegan. You would never know! You do not need to be a vegan to love the recipes. One other reviewer complained that it is not a healthy cookbook, but that is not entirely true. For example, I am currently eating her version of Pasta Alfredo. It is made with cashews. There is no butter, no cream, and it is divine! That is very healthy, because the only fats come from the cashews, which are healthy fats. Some of the recipes, particularly the desserts, are not healthy, but many are still healthier than their non-vegan counterparts.

This cookbook is amazing, and I love it! So far I have made 3 recipes out of the book, and they have all been SUPERB. When reading the recipes, they seem unassuming, but the finished product is flavorful and restaurant quality: the fancy kind of restaurant, that prepares everything fresh, and you spend the whole time saying, wow, and this is amazing! I am so very impressed with Chloe.
The recipes I have have made are Avocado Pesto Pasta, Maple roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Eggplant Timbales. Wow, sooo very good. Im not much for brussels sprouts, but when I tasted these, I ate them first off of my plate without even trying the main course, then I went back for seconds... brussels sprouts... really. The Eggplant Timbales were awesome, I cant say enough good things about them. I cant wait to try the other recipes in the book, as well as I cant wait to invite friends and family over to hear them make the same yum noises.
One other great thing about this book. Chloe gives you tips on how to prepare ahead of time for a party: preparing, freezing, refrigerating, and then putting it together on party day. That is a great gem in my opinion. Even if you aren't vegetarian or vegan, you will love this book and wonder how something that doesn't have cheese, eggs, butter or bacon in it can be so delicious.

I have made a few recipes out of this book and so far every single one has been AMAZING. I love that there are so many pictures, something most vegan cook books lack for some reason. Her award winning cupcakes were the best cupcakes I have ever had and I am a cupcake snob. If you like to cook and need a new variety of flavorful, doable recipes to add to your repertoire, this is it.

I already have a few vegan cookbooks, but this book was worth the addition to my library. The cookbook has some unique dishes, common comfort food dishes (like mac & cheese), and Asian (Chinese/Indian) dishes. Thus far I have made the tempeh piccata, garlicky greens, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, maple roasted Brussels sprouts, and the Chinese noodle take out. Everything was amazing! The garlic roasted mashed potato trio tastes elegant, gourmet, and healthy with the addition of parsnips and cauliflower. The tempeh piccata was so bright and flavorful, and I generally hate meat substitutes like tempeh and tofu. The maple roasted Brussels sprouts taught me that these greens are not to be overlooked! The Chinese noodles were a splendid, healthy option for delicious Chinese food. Almost every recipe has a beautiful picture with it, inspiring you to make the dish. Plus, the recipes are made primarily with easy to find ingredients and are fairly simplistic. It’s nice to have a week day go-to cookbook for quick dinners after long days at work. All of this success and I have not even made any of Chloe’s famous desserts yet!
