Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Big-bite brownies, Creamy icing, Icy mousse, S'more gorp, or Chocolate shortbread—if any of these chocolate favorites make your mouth water, this is the book for you. This well-designed children's recipe book is full of ideas for young chocolate lovers everywhere. Each completed recipe is illustrated so children can look through the cook book and find something they want to make by looking at the pictures. The recipes are simple to make. Each are about a page in length. Ingredients are listed first in metric and imperial systems—one system on the right-hand side and the other on the left; the directions are listed just after that. Most recipes in the book have about 4 steps in the directions. Some recipes then have an additional section on "other ideas" or "decorate it." Basic instructions for measuring, rolling, baking, and melting are found at the beginning of the book. Most of the recipes require an oven or a stove, so adult supervision is recommended when using this cookbook. 2005, Kids Can Press Ltd, Ages 8 to 12.
