This wonderful new mystery by Annie Acorn delivers on its promise of being a cliffhanger! It kept me on the edge of my chair, guessing until the last minute, but I enjoyed the journey so much I didn't want it to end. With its skillful mix of Southern charm, delightfully complex and engaging characters, and chilling twists and turns, "Chocolate Can Kill" is a delicious morsel you'll want to savor. Annie Acorn has brought to life a heroine we can all relate to, and I hope that this will be the first of many Emily Harris mysteries.

An extraordinarily well-written cozy mystery, Annie Acorn’s Chocolate Can Kill will satisfy the most discerning mystery reader’s craving for well-developed characters and a smartly crafted tale of intrigue. A must read—anytime, anywhere—whether relaxing at the beach or curled up by a roaring fire!

A great cozy mystery. The author utilizes a difficult point of view in a highly skilled manner to keep the reader guessing throughout. I couldn't put it down. I very much appreciated not having to put up with any coarse language. I wish there were more authors who could tell a good story without boring me with profanity and crude language. Thanks, Annie.

Despite the underhanded attempts of spammers and bots posting trash reviews of this book, it was without a doubt, an indulgent cozy mystery.
I've been reading mysteries for the better part of my life, and this little gem has imagination, a well thought out plot, and an ample supply of suspense. Doubters take notice, Chocolate Can Kill is absolutely one of the greats!

Formatting not good in this e-book. Would have liked some kind of a time line for chapters to help keep it straight. Good read other than those points.

In spite of being wordy and repetitive at times i enjoyed the story. It was refreshing to read a mystery free of repeated profanity and sexual content which add nothing to the story.

Low-key would be a good generalization. A lady's mystery. Bodies pile up but not the gruesome details. Interesting read.

Love the way the characters were developed. An enjoyable way to pass an afternoon.

I loved this book, and couldn't put it down. A great who-done it.
If you love mysteries, you will love this book. It would make a great movie. You won't know who the culprit is until the very end. This is not a formula type book, its very original. I would recomend it to anyone who loves mysteries. I think it would make a good book for book club members.

I enjoyed this free book so much that I will probably buy the other "Emily Harris" books. Well developed plot and lots of pages.

The book introduced too many characters of no relation to the story at the time. The ending was a little vague and could have fit any of the suspects. On the upside.it was a story with a much to be desired lack of coarse language and the main character was likeable. Pleasant read but disjointed.

After reading the reviews I expected more from this book. It was a poor attempt at mystery writing. There were several different story lines hinted as "red herrings" but not all tied up before the book ends. By the end, I was rooting for the bad guys just so it would be over! This is the first book I've bought by this author and it absolutely will be the last one as well.

I loved many of the elements of the story, but they were completely overshadowed by the amateurish writing style and lack of knowledge of police procedure.

very good light read mystery. nothing major not a lot of twist and turns but enough to hold my interest. I wasn't in the mood for anything major but interesting none the less. This was a good choice and a good book. will look for more of her books to keep in my library.
