Overview

After taking New York by storm, Waverly Bryson thinks life can’t possibly get any better…until her gorgeous boyfriend, Jake, pops the question. Though she longs for a low-key wedding, anyone who knows Waverly knows that drama follows her wherever she goes — even down the aisle. Before she can meet the man of her dreams at the altar, Waverly must go head-to-head with his high-society mother, whose vision for their big day isn’t exactly meshing with Waverly’s.

Adding to the chaos is the impending departure of Paige, Waverly’s very pregnant retail partner; the addition of a meddlesome new producer to her popular TV show; and the arrival of her best friend, Andie, who’s carting one heckuva secret in her carry-on. Now as the clock ticks down to her wedding day, Waverly can’t help but wonder: Is her perfect world about to come crashing down? Or can she really have it all?

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Murnane charms in this tale of a newly engaged couple in New York City, her fourth Waverly Bryson novel (after Honey on Your Mind). Waverly’s boyfriend Jake McIntyre has popped the question, and she couldn’t be happier. That is, until Jake’s wealthy mother takes it upon herself to select the location and set the date—the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla., over Presidents’ Day weekend. Given that Waverly’s last fiancé dumped her right before they were to be wed, she wants a small ceremony, something her soon-to-be mother-in-law won’t accept. Add in a big promotion at Love, Wendy, the talk show where she works; her pregnant partner in a side business moving to Nashville; and a best friend who’s keeping a big secret, and Waverly begins to wonder if she can hold it together long enough to tie the knot. Readers will empathize with Waverly as she questions the possibility of a woman having it all—and enjoy the author’s realistic take on that question. Funny, fast-paced, adorable. Agent: Teri Tobias, the Teri Tobias Agency. (Apr.)

I am freaking out right now. Maria Murnane and I were both members of the online writer's group SheWrites
and thought maybe we could do a combined writer's seminar at my house in San Jose, CA. Her parents
live out here. It didn't happen but she had access to my website which included my work-in-progress
novel Night Surfing where I have the main character Sosie Bend have a blog called Love, Sosie.
Now it seems Ms. Murnane has her character in Chocolate for Two have a show called Love, Wendy.
That is WAY TOO COINCIDENTAL. I am too stunned right now to know what to do but this is very
disturbing to me. Mary Kennedy Eastham, M.A. MFA Author Squinting Over Water - Stories and the
Shadow of A Dog I Can't Forget and the works in progress novels Night Surfing and The Girl With Sand In Her Hair
