What critics are saying about the AMBER FOX MYSTERIES:
"Amber Fox is a modern, career-driven woman who seems to be a cross between Kinsey Milhone and Gracie Hart (Miss Congeniality). I enjoyed the great mixture of action adventure and slapstick. I loved getting to read another Sibel Hodge mystery with Amber Fox as the main character. She’s witty, fun, and up for any kind of adventure. This time Amber’s fiancé has to protect his ex-girlfriend from a stalker. Amber enlists the help of her co-workers and her parents to help her investigate the suspects. All of the supporting characters were entertaining and memorable and I liked that none of them were pros; they just wanted to help Amber as well as get in on the action. Try the Amber Fox series if you like unique mysteries that make you laugh.

3.5 stars. 365 pages. I thought this was a decent read. The prior 3 books in the series were more entertaining. The story felt rushed & was bland at times. I will most likely read more Amber Fox mysteries.

Sibel Hodge writes in such a way that it feels like your best girlfriend is dishing the dirt and letting you in on her best secrets. Her Amber Fox Mystery series is the perfect combination of chick lit and mystery. Not only is the character hilarious (and loves chocolate), but she's the type your can connect with. There's also the fact that Sibel Hodge writes prose that brings the emotion of the main character to life. You can feel her happiness, anger, jealousy, and more. If you're looking for an awesome mystery, look no further than Chocolate, Lies, and Murder.

If you've read the other books in this series, you were probably like me and couldn't wait for this book. The storyline was solid but didn't quite live up to all the twists and turns. The only suspense of the novel became would Amber figure out who was behind everything in time. The bottom-line is, if you are really a fan you'll buy the book and look forward to the next novel about the wedding.
