Started reading and felt as if I was there. Direct punches, great hits.

My first thought was, why am I reading this, as I have no addictions. How little I knew. From the first page, I was captivated, inspired, and in awe all simultaneously. The author, has had a road with much gravel and boulders. Yet, he can show my road and allow me to see my gravel and stones that I trip over. A must read for every person whether you feel you have addictions or even more if you feel you don't.

Not just for the addict, this book was written for everyone! WOW

I have to say, I would have never known some of the things that I allow to be first in my life until I researched these things out. What a difference I look at things now. I see the common addictive state to be automatic, the lies I use to live in! Wow! This is a must for all recovering addicts and not just them... what about the loved ones? They need this too. If there was anything that I could do for them it would be giving them these tools also. This book brings out the truth that an addiction cannot just be erased it has to be replaced. I like how it states that you have to replace it with something possitive or another dreaded addiction will feel it's place. It brings out the truth of how God uses addiction for His purpose and there is such a thing a good addictions. I also loved how it pointed out that all addiction derives from one of two motives! Selfishness or selflessness, backing all of this up with the word of God... What a concept.

    Very insightful and eye-opening

This book opened my eyes to a new world of addiction that I did not realize existed. The book is full of scriptures of what the Bible says about addiction and how we overcome it to put God first in our lives. It made me examine my own personal self to see what things I was addicted to and was putting first in my life. Highly recommended!! This book is for the person who is earnestly desiring to know the truth. Not for the casual reader. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to serve Christ fully.
