Meet the Author

Peter Holmes has combined a career in business and management consultancy with service in the church and international mission. He holds an MA in pastoral psychology and a doctorate in therapeutic faith community. He has worked in Christian mission in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe specializing in helping people find deeper wholeness in Christ. He has developed a therapeutic discipleship program available in seminars, and books such as Letting God Heal, Changed Lives, and Becoming More Like Christ. He has joint responsibility for teaching, preaching, and pastoral care at Christ Church Deal, Kent, UK, the fifth church he has helped to plant. Becoming More Human, Trinity and Human Community, and Church as a Safe Place describe the extension of his ideas in local churches. Archbishop Emmanuel M. Kolini attended Bishop Tucker College in Mukono, Uganda, currently known as Uganda Christian University. For a time he served as a primary teacher and later as headmaster in some of the refugee schools in Bunyoro-Uganda. Kolini was appointed Assistant Bishop of Bukavu in Congo and then served as a full Bishop in the Diocese of Katanga in the south eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He received a degree in theology at Virginia Theological Seminary in the U.S. Emmanuel Kolini has served as Archbishop of Rwanda as well as Bishop of Kigali Diocese since 1997.
