God’s desire is that we would be likened to His image; and this resemblance will increase more and more as we seek to learn more about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.
The "Christian Manual” provides an introduction to help train God’s people for everyday Christian living. For the prospective new Christian, Church Leader, Minister or Elder (appointed or who has never been trained), this manual provides scripture based information regarding biblical principals for living in the image of Christ. Your studies will initiate a strong spiritual foundation and forge a covenant to study, pray, and grow.
Other than the Word of God, there is no one book that entails all information needed to prepare Christians to live a life that´s pleasing to God. This manual was written to cover many different areas and aspects of Christian maturity. It is designed to be a user-friendly tool to aid new, seasoned, and senior Christians to flow in your gifts. 2Timothy 2:15 says “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” We believe that prayfully, this manual will serve as an introductory tool for your everyday walk in ministry.
It is designed to be used with your bible and provides scripture based information regarding biblical principals. It is intended to initiate a strong spiritual foundation and forge a covenant to study, pray, and grow. It should be used for individual study, under the direction of a mentor or instructor, or can also be used in a group setting. This manual entail:
✞ Terms and Language Associated with the Christian Faith
✞ Responsibilities of the Disciple or Follower of Jesus Christ
✞ Fundamentals of Church Etiquette
✞ Complicated Doctrinal Issues
✞ Books of the Bible
✞ Basic Tenets of the Christian Faith
Also included are detailed examinations of the names, titles, and characteristics of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Christian Manual promises to engage, enlighten and enhance your personal study of God’s Word. Examining this information will ignite your spirit with a new sense of excitement, purpose, and motivation for living an empowered life according to God’s Word.
As we meditate on 2 Timothy 2:15, let’s consider the following three things:
(1) Reflect on the amazing advances made since your period of infancy. You could neither walk, nor talk, nor creep. You did not know that a candle or stove would burn you if you put your finger there. You didn’t know to hold a rattle, the sound, or where the sound came. Now consider your maturity at age twenty, thirty and forty.
(2) Reflect on your limited powers of learning about God or his works. Unlike physical maturity, spiritual maturity can only come through your acquainting yourself with God through His Word. With diligently studying the Word and with revelation through the Holy Spirit, God will bless us with Christian maturity. James 1:22 says “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
(3) Reflect on the time you have to grow in knowledge, and in holiness, and in conformity to God. We may attempt to climb the hill of knowledge, and having gone a few steps - while the top is still lost in the clouds - we lie down and die. We look at a few things; become acquainted with a few elementary principles; make a little progress in virtue, and then all our studies and efforts are suspended, and “we fly away.” In the future world we shall have an “eternity” before us to make progress in knowledge, and virtue, and holiness, uninterrupted. As for now, we do not have eternity and we must make a continued effort to study God’s Word and to learn of His precepts. Psalm 119:103 says “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
