If you have struggled on your weight loss journey, this certainly won't be your first diet book, but it may very well be your last!

Discover how you, too, can lose a significant amount of weight using the Scripture method that Ben Sley used to safely lose 50 lbs in 6 months. Ben taught a Bible lesson on the Book of Joshua in which both Joshua and Moses were posthumously referred to as a "Servant of the Lord." Ben thought this was a fitting epitaph and felt challenged to have the same thing said of him, and, thus, began his weight loss journey.

Meet the Author

Ben Sley has been engaged in a lifelong journey regarding weight "ups and downs." He has finally decided to do something about it and has safely lost 50 pounds in 6 months by relying on God's Word. Ben was raised in a Jewish-Christian family, and using both Old and New Testament Scripture, he tells how he was able to do it, not with pills or supplements, nor with special diet foods, nor by attendance at weekly classes, but with reliance on the Word of God. Along the way, he also utilized a few "special ingredients" which he discusses. Ben knows that God wants us to glorify Him with the "Temple of the Holy Spirit," our bodies, based on how we nourish and bring this "Temple" into God's Will. He has always been interested in nutrition and has a B.S. in Chemistry, which has impressed upon him that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" by Our Creator.

Ben now works as a patent attorney in northern California and resides there with his wife, Kathy, and their dog and cat. Ben and Kathy have three grown children, Sarah, David and Mary, and son-in-law, Bjorn, of whom they are very proud. They now have four beautiful grandchildren, Gabriel, Caleb, Kristiana and MaryKate. In his new, slimmer body, Ben wants to spend a lot more time with the grandkids!

Ben has served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps.

I like the format of daily Bible readings and practical wisdom. I have practiced letting my eyes, the window to the soul, reflect the Love of Christ - this takes my mind off of eating and food. One verse that has really helped me is, "Do not for the sake of food destroy the work of God." Romans 14:20. I highly recommend this book!
