A Must Read for Today's Christians

Hank presents a clear analysis of where groups deviate from orthodox Christian teachings. His research is superb, and includes an exhaustive collection of direct quotes (and actual audio recordings) that leaves no doubt where many groups have deviated from the core Christian beliefs. This book will help equip Christians to defend the faith.

    An eye opener.

In this in depth and insightful book, the popular "Bible Answer Man" exposes the lies told by popular allegedly Christian televangelists who are in fact only masking cultic heresies underneath their own twisted versions of Christianity. Each example is backed up by scripture and truth that is clearly well researched. ..... ***** It is almost frightening as a horror novel to realize how so many popular "Christians" are in fact decieving the public, worldwide, in their "Praise the Lord and send me the money" tactics. It is clear that lives and souls, not to mention vast amounts of money have been lost to these people. With the help of books like this, hopefully more people will come to see the truth behind the multiple masks. ***** REVIEWED BY AMANDA KILLGORE.

It is amout time someone told the truth

This book is for people who are seriously concerned about the direction churches are headed, and have questions about cults and cultic activity in their churches. For those people this is a must read book. Our adult children were in a church that went terribly wrong. We searched for answers and found none until a minister friend of mine referred me to this book. Hank steps on toes that need to be stepped on, and tells it like it is, churches are drifting away from the foundation that Christianity was based upon. People are being deceived by fast talking, money hungry people under the guise of being ministers of the gospel, when one has to wonder if they even know what the gospel is. Hank's book is well researched and well documented, as all of his books are. If you have questions and are not afraid of the real truth, by all means read this book and share it with others.

    How Tragic!

Regardless of where you come down in Christianity - evangelical, pentecostal, charismatic - it is tragic to see what lengths Hanegraaff takes to 'expose the truth' concerning other Christians he disagrees with. At the expense of the life, ministry and work of other men and women of God, Hanegraaff - without fair and pre-publication dialog - denigrates anyone and everyone who disagrees with the him on any peripheral issue. What we desperately need is agreement on the central doctrines instead of carnival exposé's such as this. To see Walter Martin's ministry (CRI) be brought to such levels one can imagine that were it not for the glory of the Father's presence Dr. Martin might well be peeking through the portals of Heaven in total dismay.

Excellent book if one desires to delve in to the truth.

Mr. Hanegraaff in this book steps on a lot of toes. And well he should it is about time someone did. Television evangelists and Word-of-Faith teachers are making a mockery of the Christian faith. Just recently Benny Hinn was on TBN claiming that because of TBN people would be raised from the dead. If that isn't enough to make one sick, read Christianity in Crisis and learn how badly the faith teachers mutilate scripture and even add to it. Mr. Hanegraaff quotes extensively and within full context the absurdities of the faith movement such as Adam actually being God and even flt=ying to the moon. Hanegraaff carefully outlines in scripture how their eerant doctrine is not only nonbiblical but certainly cultic. I also recommend it to anyone who is a product of the faith movement and also those who have loved ones that have been duped by it. Essentially the faith teachers do not teach faith and teach simply that one should have every desire of their heart whether or not it is the will of God. Noteworthy here also is that, these 'teachers' deny that one should want the will of God as Jesus did. One should read this book with an open mind and test everything in it in light of scripture.
