Edith Ryan welcomes a myriad of guests into her Christmas Valley, Oregon bed and breakfast after learning that her children and grandchildren will not be home for the holidays. Inspired by her husband's sermon on hospitality, she is reminded that she could be 'entertaining angels unawares.' This novella is well written with characters that the reader will soon embrace. The Christmas message is prevalent throughout and is a perfect read during a frosty winter's night. Highly recommended!

This was a gift given to me as a pre-Christmas happy. It has now become tradition to read this book every Christmas. Very easy read with a good message. The characters are great. Plot line is humorous and warming. Highly recommend for read aloud to kids or just for yourself. Really brings the true meaning of Christmas back into focus.

I thought this book was okay.It had its humorous moments and the message was nice. I didn't think that there was closer on a lot of the characters. Some of the story felt as if it was written by a middle schooler, too plain and simple. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I rush to read more by this author? Probably not.

An entertaining story with interesting characters. It had a rather surprise ending that drove home a good message. Very enjoyable read.

I enjoyed reading this book. It's interesting to see how people treat each other without truly understanding one another.

Great short story about the Christmas season. I read it in one December afternoon, snuggled with a blanket!

I fully enjoyed this book, which told the story of a small community who had to accept outsiders during the Christmas season. A very good reminder to consider strangers who come into our lives as those to whom we can show kindness and the love of God. Yes, it is definitely a book with a Christian theme, which I love, being a Christian, but the overall message is one that everyone can learn from.

The perfect Christmas reading experience! This book reminds us that angels are among us and most likely do not seem like possible angels. This story was really, really good and has the honor of being placed on my Nook shelf "Books Worthy of Being Read Again".
