This Christmas he'd have to play Santa in disguise
Federal agent Matt Christensen hadn't planned on spending Christmas Eve dodging bullets. He hadn't planned on fatherhood, either. But when he discovered he had a daughter, Matt vowed he'd do anything to find her--including cozying up to a beautiful murder suspect with dangerous connections.
To get inside the isolated West Texas compound of a known criminal, Matt needed Cassandra Harrison's contacts. But could he ignore the other needs Cass brought to mind? She was vulnerable and soft...almost innocent. With an arsenal of gunmen intent on crushing his Christmas mission, he'd have to protect them both if they wanted to survive the cold, cold night and bring his baby home for the holidays.
Review by Jen:
A contemporary romantic suspense. Cassandra is being framed for a murder and is running out of time to clear her name. She approaches federal agent Matt for help, using some information that she knows will guarantee his cooperation. As they go after the villain, sparks fly-figuratively and literally.
While the story had a decent plot, I was left wanting more. I felt unsatisfied in the ending. If you're looking for a light romantic suspense and a fast read, then try this book. Otherwise, look for something with a little more substance.

Matt believed that he was done with the snobby heiress type, but all of a sudden Cassandra Harrison drops into his life from hiding and is trying to convince him he is a father. Cass is only trying to help him get his daughter back, but Matt isn't so sure. Why in the world would she want to help him if there was nothing in it for her? Pretty soon they are both feeling the pull of attraction and they both know it can't be stopped.
Out of all the Harlequin Intrigue's that I've read, this one was one of the better ones. Cass's character and personality were very likeable. And despite his insistance not to get involved with her, Matt is still a strong, sexy hero that manages to make his way into your heart. The writing was pretty good and the storyline had a pretty good developement considering the size of the book. Would definitely suggest this book and other's by this author!
