Despite the title, this English edition of a Norwegian craft book isn't overtly Scandinavian—other than the use of "God Jul" instead of "Merry Christmas"; any of the finished projects would be perfectly at home at your local craft fair. The focus is on sewn projects, and there are a few simple woodworking projects as well. Basic embroidery and numerous soft-sculpture angels and snowmen fill these pages—essentially, your basic country-craft Christmas fare. A removable sheet of pattern templates is included. VERDICT Faux-primitive projects continue to be popular, and the selection here will appeal to crafters who enjoy this style of decor. Crafters looking for projects with a more Scandinavian feel may prefer Helene Lundberg's 2008 book, Swedish Christmas Crafts.
