This is one of the frustrating things about the Nook. Sometimes I will purchase a book only to find out it is really just a quick write. The specific number of pages should have been included for this book. It was NOT worth $.99.

This was just awful! The writing, the characters & the lack of plot. Don't even bother! If I could have given no stars, i would have!

This short read by Gemma Halliday shows not everyone has that Norman Rockwell perfect Christmas. With her quirky family and one very hot Dectective by her side Maddie Springer tries her best to pull Christmas out of the dumpster. This story is a fun, light hearted read perfect for a cold night in snuggling by the fire. I throughly enjoyed this quick read.

No mystery- just a short story about their preparations for a quiet Christmas at home alone and the disruptions encountered. Should be free instead of .99 in my opinion. I did enjoy reading it.

This is not a book and should not be sold as one. Even if it's just a dollar, it's a total waste of time and money. This should have it's own section under Short Stories so people are not tricked into buying it!

Gemma halliday's Spying in High Heels was a really fun read. I thought this book would be the same. It wasn't a book at all! I hate paying for a few pages of nothing. I'm going to check the file sizes from now on.

The actual length of the book should be included, and the other half of the book is a preview of another book. I wasted my time reading it.

This seemed like a ploy to get you to buy the preview of the new book. The "short story" was very amateur and could have been written by someone in junior high. Definitely not worth the .99 cent price. No plot, no depth of character, no story.

It's one chapter, not even enough to count as a short story. Waste of 99¿ for sure.

I can't believe the story ended where it does! I thought it was just a preview! Very disappointed. Just got my Nook for Christmas and I hope I don't fall too many of these "short stories"

Haad potential to be a great story, but I guess I shoul have looked at how many pages it had. .99 for 15 pages is a rip off.

The story is shorter than the dress pictured on the cover art. The "preview" of another of the author's upcoming books included is longer than the story, I believe! It was not badly written. I would think that the full length books by this author in this series could be fun to read.

I love all of the Maddie Springer (High Heels) books, and this one is true to form and in the Christmas spirit. A fun, quick read!

Its OK and contains the characters from the "High Heel Mysteries" series, but is ridiculously short. If you have 10 minutes to spare and its free, I'd say go for it. But if you don't read it, you're not missing anything.

This doesn't have a mystery involved like the other High Heel books. It is just a review of all the characters in the book on Christmas Eve.
