Overview

Paranormal, time travel novella, a prequel to Only Yesterday.

Everybody in her family and in the Gulf Coast town of Fairhope views Gilly as a woman whose life is plain and simple, one who has been content to spoil her great-niece Ann while living out her days in Windchime House. Only her best friend Margaret knows the heroic story of Gilly Debeau.

When Ann’s Christmas gift of wind chimes catapults Gilly back in time, she finds herself seated at the café Parisiene, having tea with her Papa and enjoying her eighteenth birthday gift – passage on the maiden voyage of the Titanic. As the string quintet entertains the passengers, Gilly can’t take her eyes off the handsome, talented violinist from West Yorkshire. Under William’s spell, she falls for both the music and the musician. But does an over-protected, unsophisticated girl from Alabama dare defy convention in order to become a woman? And how will she ever explain to Papa that she is planning a future with a man she’s known only three days?

On April 14, 1912, Gilly is wrenched away from everything and everyone she loves. Can she survive the icy Atlantic? Can William? Can their love survive a lifetime and beyond?

    Loved IT!! Highly recommended!!

Once again PEGGY WEBB delivers a wonderful story!! This is the first time this book has been in "print" for us to enjoy. It is the prequel to ONLY YESTERDAY which is a time travel set in Fairhope, Alabama. An absolutely fantastic read! CHRISTMAS IN TIME opens a window to the past and allows us to experience the Titanic in all her glory and the tragic end of lives and love on that fateful night. The story of how love can be with us for a lifetime and even longer. Read this one first then grab ONLY YESTERDAY. You will enjoy the ride!!

    Lukewarm

Hmmm... Really can't see 5 stars. Very simple- I didn't feel the characters were well developed and due to that, I just wasn't drawn into the passion or their story. Couldn't help feeling that it was a rewrite of Rose and J ack from the contemporary movie,"Titanic," told in one dimensional fast forward ... sorry

    Amazing Masterpiece! Enchanting Entertainment!

A story in the talented hands of Peggy Webb is always a winner. She comes up trumps with this incredile love story that moves between present-day Fairhope, Alabama and the Titanic. Webb, who is a musician as well as a writer, frequently draws on her musical background for her novels, and this book is a wonderful example. For CHRISTMAS IN TIME, she takes none other than the band leader of the Titanic and fictionalizes him as a worthy hero for the liberated, unconventional Gilly Debeau. What an amazing story! I loved every minute of it!

    Beautiful.

Characters were well developed and drew you in. Beautiful but tragic love story. The ending was bittersweet. (And this is not a re-telling of jack and rose. Many lives and loves were lost on that great ship. Jack and rose are just one story. Gilly and william are another.)

    It was ok.

I was a little disappointed in this book. I thought it was going to be a time travel book but really it was just someone thinking back thru time. It was still not a bad book just wasn't what I was expecting.

    Short and sweet

A simple and tender story of a woman remembering the man she fell in love with so long ago. I dont know that putting it on the Titanic was such a good thing, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless. The synopsis had me thinking it was a time travel book, which it is not. I would read more from this author.

    Too short!

I was really enjoying this novel, not very Christmassy, but great Titanic love story. A lot of fun, I was disappointed it was so short.

    Disappointed

Of course I should have known... It wasn't Christmas time on the Titanic! Rather poorly written.
