Oh, man - this CD is just what I was hoping for and more! The traditional songs everyone already knows sound fresh and alive but the ones you've not heard a million times already are the real highlights here - from the gorgeous title track to the terrific retro harmonies of "Santa Claus Baby" to the sweeping majestic sounds of "Christmas Must Be Tonight" to the delightfully jazzy "Christmas in New Orleans" to the funky rendition of "Children Go Where I Send Thee" to the playful sexy blues of "What Do Bad Girls Get?" to the powerful driving force of "Great Day In December" - there's not a bad track on it! I'm just blown away by how cohesive and satsifying it is, both as a Joan project and as a Xmas CD. In fact, I think "Great Day In December" is one of the best songs she's ever recorded - period! I can only hope that CHRISTMAS MEANS LOVE is promoted well and that people get a chance to hear it - it's way too good to go unnoticed...

She has such a rich tone to her voice, I have always loved her sound. I know what I will be listening to for Christmas' to come, from now on - this album. Thanks Joan!

This album is so deeply moving to me. It's Joan at her finest, singing in her signature soulful style. It isn't just for Christmas. Great song choice...Christmas Must Be Tonight by the Band and Christmas in New Orleans really stand out. She is truly a living legend.
