Overview

What's new for Christmas? One great My Turn Books! Each book is casebound and features an easy-to-turn wheel on every page that teaches toddlers early learning concepts. Dial up the correct image and there's a surprise picture, too!

In Christmas Numbers, learn to count from one angel to ten Christmas cookies. When you turn the wheel on each page and dial up the correct numeral, a surprise picture is revealed as well. On the page for "five," when you turn the wheel to the 5, five candy canes appear in one of five Christmas stockings.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
This "Turn and Learn" book presents the numbers 1 through 10 depicted through the symbols of Christmas. The text has the word for each number, but the numeral does not appear until the child turns a wheel inside the page to the correct one—then the picture is completed and the numeral appears. For instance, the first page for "one" shows a Christmas tree, and when the wheel is turned to "1," an angel appears on top of the tree; "two" brings forth two carrot noses for snowmen, etc. The illustrations are cheery, colorful graphics. The wheel takes some dexterity to manipulate. 2000, Grosset & Dunlap, $4.99. Ages 3 to 6. Reviewer: Dr. Judy Rowen
