Editorial Reviews

Rusty Fischer
As with many touching Christmas books, A Christmas Present begins with a tragedy that alters the life of its main character forever. As with so many great children’s stories, A Christmas Present contains numerous references—not to mention appearances—by jolly old St. Nick himself. Like so many thrilling mysteries, A Christmas Present contains plenty of tension, suspense, and good, old-fashioned storytelling.

But wait, this is a Christmas book.

No, it’s a children’s book.

Well, is it a thriller?

The truth be told, it’s all three! And for magical holiday reading, it doesn’t get much better than that . . .

Author Bill O’Shea has created a mystical holiday world which blends reality and fiction, science and fantasy. Centering around David Connors, a high-powered Manhattan lawyer who has just suffered a recent loss that seems to have robbed him of more than just a precious family member, but his very soul, A Christmas Present takes us on a magical journey through our very own hearts.

What would we do in the face of a senseless tragedy? Where would we turn when all hope is gone? Who would we cling to in our deepest hour? And what would Christmas be without the ones we love?

Mixing the suspense and craft of The Firm with the holiday splendor and magic of A Miracle on 34th Street, author O’Shea delivers a heartwarming tale of loss and redemption, despair and hope. A family man himself, O’Shea knows how to weave a magical tale that will appeal to both adults and children at the same time, making A Christmas Present perfect family reading for this holiday—or any time of the year!

So do yourself a favor this holiday season: Give yourself a Christmas present by rushing out and buying—what else—A Christmas Present!

A story you won't want to miss!

A Christmas Present is a well written holiday story which explores the value and meaning of love. It certainly keeps your interest and attention. I got so involved reading it, that I nearly missed my connecting flight at the airport. I was so intensely moved by the story that I never heard my flight being called! If you enjoyed the Christmas Box, you certainly won't want to miss this!
