Overview

A Holiday Historical Mystery Novella

A blizzard envelopes the English countryside five days before Christmas, stranding Eve Tomlin and her mother. The women struggle through the snow, forced onward by a wraith-like figure gliding through the trees until they find an apparently abandoned house and stumble inside. They are confronted by Giles Danby, a guest at Folkestone Manor, who ruthlessly tells the women they must go.

Someone has murdered their host, a killer who can walk through locked doors. No one at the manor is safe.

Danby’s father claims a vengeful specter must have committed the crime, a specter Eve may have glimpsed in the woods.

Desperate to solve the mystery, they can only hope the Christmas Spirit won’t claim another victim before they can escape the haunted manor.

Meet the Author

Amy Corwin is a charter member of the Romance Writers of America and recently joined Mystery Writers of America. She writes historical and cozy mysteries with a touch of romance, as well as paranormal romances. To be truthful, most of her books include a bit of murder and mayhem since she discovered that killing off at least one character is a highly effective way to make the remaining ones toe the plot line.

Her books include the historical mysteries, A ROSE BEFORE DYING, and THE VITAL PRINCIPLE; the three Regency romantic mysteries, I BID ONE AMERICAN, THE BRICKLAYER’S HELPER, and THE NECKLACE; and her first contemporary cozy mystery, WHACKED!, will come out in 2012 from Five Star.

Join her and discover that every good mystery has a touch of romance.
