Overview

The Christmas season is full of shopping and holiday cheer, but finding one’s true purpose is the greatest gift of all…

Reverend Ben has been ignoring his health recently, and it’s finally caught up with him in the form of a heart problem requiring bypass surgery. Since Ben will need six weeks of recuperation and physical rehab, an interim minister is assigned to the congregation.

Reverend Isabel Moran is young, but she has a quiet but steady way of connecting with the members of the church. While most of the congregation was troubled by the absence of Reverend Ben, Isabel has ultimately reassured them with her warmth and understanding.

Meanwhile, Ben has secretly been considering when he should retire. Is this health setback a sign from above that it’s time to start a new phase of his life? As Ben grows stronger, he starts to wonder if he’s really ready to celebrate his final Christmas as pastor. After all, Christmas is a time for giving, but retiring and presenting Isabel with his much-treasured job might be the biggest test of faith Ben has ever had to face…

I love Thomas Kinkiade's style of writing. His books teach lessons in Christian values and are interesting and heart warming. I have all of his books in the Cape Light Series and have enjoyed each and every one.

Christmas Treasures is a treasure in the Cape Light Series.   It is a great book to read at Christmas as well as other times.   This series continues to hold my interest and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I don't believe Thomas Kinkade had anything to do with this installment of the Cape Light series. The characters are one-dimensional and the writing is flat. The female minister shows a streak of feminism and a disdain for "conservatives". Her remark regarding the father of a misbehaving son as rigid and conservative was very judgemental. Since Thomas Kinkade has passed away, I have to think that Katherine Spencer has now full ownership of the series. I won't be buying any more of these books. I don't know why publishers are allowed to attribute books to dead authors. It is, at the very least, misguiding and maybe even fraudulent.

LOVED this book, as well as the others in this series and the Angel Island series. Hopefully Ms. Spencer will be able to continue these wonderful stories! I have some of Mr. Kinkade's art too. My prayers go to his family in his passing. What a legacy; faith, art, & novels!

I love all the Thomas Kinkade books and this one is no different. The characters in all his books have helped guide me in my walk with every day life and people. I have become a better person for reading his books.
