Christmas with Shirley Caesar

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Rodney Batdorf
Christmas with Shirley Caesar is her first holiday album since 1992's acclaimed Christmasing. While this album doesn't quite rival that masterpiece, it is nevertheless quite good indeed, thanks to Caesar's inspiring, incendiary performances. There's a nice balance between strong original tunes, carols, and hymns, and the entire album winds up as further testament to Caesar's status as one of the finest gospel singers of the '90s.
