Meet the Author

As Founder and CEO of The Christian Women’s Leadership Exchange, the parent company to Great Women of God Abroad (2009), Sherell leverages her expertise in entrepreneurship, business management and community development to provide support for other Christian women hoping to start or expand Christian ministries of their own. She is currently writing a book series, “Chronicles of A Broken Spirit” that was released February 2011.

Sherell combines a pragmatic, common-sense approach to business with an extensive background in counseling, career consultation and family services. This gives her a unique insight into the opportunities and challenges faced by women leaders who carry enormous loads of responsibility and accountability, yet often tend to receive less support from their communities. These challenges and opportunities are often cited in the four blogs she created and manages.

Prior to founding CWLE /GWGA, Sherell served on numerous community projects, including the Florida Department of Children and Families EEO Committee; the Sista’ 2 Sister teen mentorship program; and HandsOn Jacksonville’s Blueprint for Leadership project. Sherell recently applied her more than 10 years of experience in project management, fiscal oversight and corporate relationship building to successfully set up her own transportation company, Jacksonville-based AGC Transport & Services, LLC (2008).

Sherell holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University (1998) and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (1994) from the University of North Florida.

    Great Christian Book

This was a warm, touching book about love, marriage, divorce, and how it relates to Christianity. We all deal with the kinds of problems that this novel discusses, but it's even worse for us Christians. Not only do we need to deal with the heartache and pain of the loss of our marriage, but we also need to deal with the spiritual damage that comes with it.

This story attempts to heal me more on the spiritual side than on the mental/emotional side, but in reality, it does both. Without a healed spirit, no real healing can begin. This is a book that can be enjoyed by anyone who is married, divorced, or even has loved anyone else. I believe we all have some notion of spiritual health, and while this book may speak more to Christians than others, it speaks to us all equally.
