    Riddick!

Riddick is one of those books that has action, violance and little love. But it tells a lot about the world, and about what you really have to think about. I love the movies and the books (pitch black & Riddick) It's one of those books that makes you want to be bad, for a good reason. I makes you want to go out there and kick some butt. This book is for any Scifi lover or action lover.

Jennifer Wardrip - Bought for Husband

Managed to keep my husband's attention, which means it was pretty good! He said it went into much greater depth than the movie, and was much easier to understand.

    A reviewer

I've seen both movies, Pitch Black & Chronicles. There's a blurp posted on a movie site that 2 more movies are going to be produced One featuring Riddick going to Underverse (return of Kyra perhaps?) and the final going to the planet Furia. It's a 3 part movie series which Vin Diesel has talked about in various interviews. Hopefully, we won't have to wait much longer for production to begin! The book is terrific! Has some details that are not in the movie as well. Gotta love Toombs! What an idiot!

    A very exciting read!

I found The Chronicles of Riddick much more entertaining than the first book, Pitch Black. The author Alan Dean Foster does a fantastic job in bringing the world of Riddick alive. From the very beginning of the book you are drawn in. If you haven't read the first book that is ok, don't worry. This book is rich in detail and descripton and makes you feel like you are right there fighting right along with Riddick. In the story, Riddick is one very smart and cocky individual and he can back up his attitude with his brute force. This book has many twists and turns and a whole lot of action. One of the main reasons I really enjoyed reading the Chronicles of Riddick was that it wasn't very technical and hard to follow. Just the right amount of action and drama. For anyone looking to lose themselves in a far away galaxy with evil villains and one crazy bad a** this is the book for you!

Back From 'Black' Badder Than Ever

Back and badder than ever, Richard B. Riddick, having survived the dark and deadly nightmares of 'Pitch Black', is now on the run from mercs trying to collect the bounty on his head. Making matters all the more harrowing, a devilish despot known as Lord Marshal and his legion of Necromongers are also in on the hunt. The death whorshipping cult is reminiscent of what one would expect from a Robert E. Howard 'Conan' tale while their leader hints at shades of Darth Vader of 'Star Wars' fame. The fantasy aspects push the bounderies of 'a willing suspension of disbelief' at times but does not, for the most part, ever cross the line completely. When all is said and done, the finished product results in an excellent telling which is well worth the read. All that remains now is to see the movie. (liquidgee@comcast.net)

Great to check out after the movie

After seeing the movie, the book was not the most exciting read, but did give insight on the characters thoughts and emotions that the movie couldn't quite convey. It's an easy read and definitely enjoyable for anyone that loves the Riddick movies.

    are you kidding me?

For anybody that's going to read this book..please watch the movie first! The movie is wayyyy better than the book, trust me! I watched the movie and I loved it! Why the critics gaved it bad reviews is beyond me. I think they read the book first and decided that the movie wasn't any good. The one liners in the book from Riddick are horrendous. trust me..watch the movie, forget about reading the book.

What a HOTTIE! - Vin Diesel, that is.

I have never really read the book before, but I did see the movie and finally bought it. Wow! Vin Diesel is soooooo..... fine in that movie! The very end of the movie is so sad though. :( I was crying (tear), haha. I also saw Pitch Black - the first movie. It was also very good, but a little disgusting at parts. Anyway, if you haven't seen the movie, go out and rent it right now, you'll LOVE it!!
