The Chronicles of Teddy the Bear- Forever Friends
A heartwarming, laugh-out-loud story about friendship, big feelings, and being seen-just as you are.

and the quiet magic of being seen.

this book is perfect for early independent readers and families looking to explore themes of neurodiversity, foster care and the importance of belonging.

Synopsis
Teddy is not your average second grader. He's a bear who's bouncy, clumsy, and full of big feelings. He struggles with tying his shoes, gets picked last in gym, and his handwriting? Let's just say... he has a tablet now.
But what Teddy lacks in neatness, he makes up for in kindness.
Then one rainy morning, a porcupine named Pippa shows up-with ripped jeans, mismatched socks,
and a secret she's too scared to share. From their first splash in the biggest puddle ever,
Teddy and Pippa form a friendship that's real, silly, and beautifully brave.
But not all friendships get to stay. And when Pippa suddenly has to leave,
both she and Teddy must hold on to the one thing they know is true:
Forever friends don't need to be near.
They just need to be real.

Perfect for ages 6-10.

About the Author

Deborah Share spent her career in the School District of Philadelphia, serving as a special
education teacher, counselor, teacher leader, and administrator. For many of her students,
the path was not easy—but she became an expert in helping them navigate big emotions and
tough challenges, always offering comfort, understanding, and hope.

It’s no wonder she earned the nickname “Care Bear Share.”

The character of Mama was born from those moments with her students—children who left an
indelible mark on her heart. She believes that giving hope and joy to others grows the hope
and joy inside of you.

Today, Deborah’s most cherished role is being “MomMom” to her eight beloved grandchildren.

Teddy was inspired by “the littles” in her family—five grandchildren born in just three years—
blended with the spirit of her former students, especially those with learning differences.

Deborah lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, Scott and her dog, Malani.
With all of her grandchildren close by, there’s always a fresh set of ears for a new story.

Author's Note

As a former school counselor, teacher, and administrator, I spent years working with children
who faced unimaginable challenges—struggles that most of us could never begin to fathom.
What struck me then—and still lingers with me today—is the deep unfairness that some children
go through life without ever knowing what it feels like to be loved best by someone.

I still grieve for those children.

The ones who have no one with arms big enough to wrap them in a warm bear hug.
Without those hugs—without that unwavering sense of being deeply loved—
children miss the safety and security they need to grow and thrive.

I think about them every day.

These children often carry invisible stories.?
This book is for them.

But it’s also for my grandchildren—and for all the children and grandchildren who are
so fortunate that they may never know what it’s like to move from home to home.

So fortunate that they never have to wonder if anyone loves them best.
So fortunate that they never have to worry where those arms are—
the ones meant to keep them safe and secure.
I wrote this story to help bridge that gap. To remind every child that they matter.
To show that sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is to truly see someone… and be a friend.

May this book open hearts, spark conversations, and remind us all that every
child deserves to feel safe, seen and deeply loved.

Warmest regards,

Debbie
