'Chronicles Of The Undead' is a cleverly written book that covers three generations. It is set in Victorian England and consists of three journals spanning thirty three years. The author quickly involves us in the Harrington family's life. The first journal begins in 1793 and is written by Samuel Harrington. It starts out innocently enough with the arrival of new neighbors. It describes Samuel's dislike of them and his wife's excitement of getting to know them. We are the observers as we watch Samuel's slow descent into evil, madness and finally into the world of darkness. Next we read the journal of his son, Edmund Harrington, which begins in 1795. The journal shows Edmund's struggle to fight the supernatural when he learns what his father has done. The final journal is written by Edmund's daughter, Charlotte Harrington. At first, she finds it hard to believe what she reads in her father and grandfather's journals and goes on a quest to find out if it is all true. She tracks down one of her father's old friends and tells him her tale. Will he believe her? He confirms to Charlotte that the journals are indeed true and she sets out on a mission to rid her family of evil that plagues it. Will this man help her?
