Sometimes we make mistakes that make us a better person....

This was a great book! Chyna, Brooke, and Asia were the best of friends until Tyreik came into the picture! Chyna was a straight A student, with big hopes and dreams, she really didn't get along with her mother but she had to deal with her because that was her mom. When she met Tyreik she knew that she had to have him, but when she got the chance she tried to play hard to get and in the end she gives in to him. After they start dating everything in her life changes, she goes from honor roll student to a D student. When her mother finds out about it she puts Chyna out and she goes to live with Tyreik. She eventually drops out of school and her life takes a dramatic turn from love to arguing all the time and she end up pregnant, but since she doesn't know who the father is Tyreik or his homeboy, she has an abortion. This leads to all kind of problems and they eventually end up breaking it off. She end up pregnant again when she starts messing around with this guy she knew from high school named LP and he denies that he is the father. During this time she loses her best friends and one of her close friends end up dead after some stuff go on between Tyreik and LP. She has the baby life goes on and a guy by the name of Jaylen comes back in her life, who has been in love with her since high school, but she only cares for him as a friend. In the end happiness does prevail for Chyna she gets her GED, a relationship with her mom and dad again, her two best freinds, the love of her life Tyreik, and a new book deal, you go Chyna! You need to read this if you haven't

    I WANT MORE!!!!!

Keisha Ervin is a wonderful writer. I read this book within 4 hours and I'm only 13 years old. This book had me wanting more and I couldn't put it down. I just wish Keisha would please write a part 2. I don't think the ending was actually the ending. I think it's the being to Chyna Black:Finding Forever(or something like that). Overall, the book is great. KEEP IT UP,KEISHA!!!!

    The Life of Chyna Black

At 15, Chyna Black is young, beautiful growing up in the hood. Along with street smarts she is a very intelligent and has school smarts as well. Chasing that almighty dollar is every young woman's dream and its no different for Chyna, Asia, and Brooke the best of friends, sportin' the latest fashions. Chyna meets and falls for Tyreik, a brother from the streets who's on that paper chase. Riding the latest whips, bling blingin', and making more money then he know what to do with, they both get caught up in a whirlwind relationship. With any relationship there is the ups and downs of being in love. The question is will there togetherness be strong enough to survive the turmoil that's about to brew. Chyna Black is a life learning story, that I couldn't seem to put down. Some of things that were happening in this novel is still going on today with our youth. Things we experience as young women and men, we have to take from those learning lessons and make better choices with our lives. Great story!!!! Tangerine, Reader's Paradise Book Club

    LIfe learn lesson

chyna black is a young teen girl who is confused and dosent seem to take life or herself seriously.Chyna was a honour roll student that is until one day her life takes a turn when she falls in love for not your ordinary boy next door tyreik.chyna is head over heals in love to the point where she no longer knows what is right from what is wrong.chyna and tyreik's relationtionship takes a big fall as he hits her for sleeping wid his homie. But knowing that chyna is his ride or die wifey he refusees to let her go.even when she tries to leave.Tyreik's character in the book is not really an abuser i would say more like your hero.there to catch you wen you fall and turns to the incredible hulk when chyna tries to push his buttons.(jus like any other man would)Chyna get's pregnant and gives up her baby.(abortion) as you continue in the story chyna still struggles that is until tyreik shows her that looks, beauty, street smarts, good taste in clothes is not all that he wants in a girlfriend.Intellegence, happyiness, everlasting love is what he wants in a wifey.not talkin him seriously chyna continue to play her childish games until tyreik gets up and leave her.More struggle occurs when chyna finally learns her lesson and gets PRENANT AGAAIN!!!!!!.this time chyna sets er self on the right track keepin her new born baby girl india renee black.tyreik Sees chyna is improving and wants to be with chyna again but chyna is not having it.At the end tyreik proves his love for chyna and tells her that he's learned his lesson hes tired of playing games so they all say right? But tyreik is a man of his word..and chyna gives in and learns that sometimes you have to fail, struggle, love hard, fall out of love and back at it again to learn that life is what you make out of it,and only you can make it right for yourself.

    it wasn't all that

i've read some other triple crown books and this one was by far the worst. it was way too unrealistic and it showed how a woman will go back to an abusive relationship even wen she's already been burnt before. i wouldn't recommend it.
