Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

"For lovers of the sentimental pictures of fairies at the bottom of the garden."  —The Textile Directory

Library Journal
These three books present beautifully designed projects using surface embroidery and silk ribbon. The flower fairies are elaborate stitched pictorial collages applied to a printed background that is available from the author's web site. Each script alphabet letter is an individual project and much simpler to execute. Embellished with ribbon flowers and filling stitches, they are perfect for decorating linens and clothing. Van Niekerk, who runs embroidery shops in Cape Town, South Africa, can supply threads and other materials for these projects.

    Excellent book.

Di van Nieker's work is in an outstanding class by itself . . . and this book is a strong reflection of her incredible work. Great eye candy too for those who don't do ribbon embroidery or stumpwork. It's a must have if you do either.
