The author is a molecular biologist who has published over 40 research papers in various journals of national and international repute. He has been a faculty member at North Carolina State University for over ten years. He received his education at Punjab University in the East, and Yale University in the West; and also held a postdoctoral position at Yale University. Dr. Dhillon, who grew up with eastern traditions, is interested in preventive approach to health based on ancient eastern practices and western scientific knowledge. His health-related ideas have appeared in several newspaper columns and on television. He has published 12 books, 5 book- chapters, and is a member of several scientific societies.
