    Impractical And Way Too Restrictive

It should say "VEGETARIAN" in the title. If you are a "meat eater" or have to prepare meals for anyone other than yourself, then this book is pointless. I heard the author on a talk show and thought she sounded sensible. WRONG. I wasted a gift certificate buying this book.

lost 10 pds but terrible 1st wk.

I REALLY think she should have given you a choice on berries for the first five dys. raspberries are not my fave! by the end I was gagging dwn all these seeds in these raspberries yeck! Plus it was very expensive! So the choice in another berry could have helped!!! Also I know she sticks to mediteranian but again list things that ALL normal people eat, would be helpful in groceries and also tring to feed my family something close so I am not making two hugely diff. meals. Just my opinion!

    7 lbs in 2 weeks

I was never a fan of diet but because Ive gained 12 pounds in the past year, I knew that I need to do something about it. I read about the Cinch! when it was featured on SHAPE Magazine. I followed the recipes there for two weeks and wala....7 lbs. I exercise 3 times a week and today I weighed myself and Im 7 lbs lighter. The recipes taste good, I especially like the Salmon with ginger and orange juice for lunch/dinner. For breakfast, the low fat waffle (I use the Eggo brand) with ginger, non fat ricotta & berries are amazing. Oh and by the way, you're allowed to eat 1 small piece of dark chocolate a day.

What I especially like is that this is realistic. It doesnt tell you to starve yourself --its more of encouraging you to have a healthier lifestyle. I don't mind cutting out on the salt (I started using DASH) and sugar because th recipes have tons of flavor.

    This is GREAT!!

    This is working...time will tell!

At first I did not like the food. Then I change prep. without altering or adding calories, followed allowed spices! Since I am not using any sugars, I am now tasting the food and it is good! Lost 5 lbs and I exercise 30 minutes every other day!

    I Also Recommend:

If you are ready, this book is for you

Is this a good book? Well, as a personal fitness trainer, I can say---YES! It gives the reader many resources to use, and alot of information to refer to in order to eat right and get leaner. So, this is definitely a book that should be read. But, remember, there are ALOT of diet books out there that are good. I give all my clients, "Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow" as part of their 1st session welcome packs. Why? Because "Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow" helps the reader get mentally and emotionally prepared to really get fit. Without THAT preparation, then most people won't be successful, long term. My clients are happier, and more committed after reading "Build Your Mind, Your Body Will Follow" - and so I will you be! Get it!

GOOD HEALTHY DIET but one needs time to absorb all the information!

After reading the entire book, I needed to organize it into a chart format of carbs, lean protein, plant base fruit and vegetables, etc. Then it became easy to follow and useful for losing weight and eating healthy. Made a brief copy to take with me for quick referals. My husband lost 27 lbs., his gravings for huge amonts of meat, diet soda and butter. His blood pressure also has dropped! A lot of work but worth the effort.

This is a very well written book with interesting details on wha

This is a very well written book with interesting details on what we eat and how it can help our bodies. It helps you change your eating habits by introducing ideas and ways to add spices to enhance foods. Definitely worth reading and buying. Some of the recommended food and diet choices were not for me but I gained a lot of knowledge about nutrition and the book guided me to better understand types of food and chemical reactions in the body. Many good tips. Enjoy and good luck on your quest for a healthier body!

    Not worth the money

I read it and it has not helped me one bit. the recipes are confusing and the few I tried are unappealing. Would not recommend this to anyone serious about losing weight.

    Not easy

I am not overweight and only want to lose one dress size (go from 6 to 4). Figured this would get me there quick and easy. I was only able to get through one day of the five day fast forward. The yogurt and berries are disgusting to me and i couldnt finish it or i would have puked. The scramble and the salad werent bad but overall i was very fatigued and sluggish. I also didnt like that i am not supposed to do anything more strenuous than walking. I dont regret buying the book because it does have some decent recipes and a lot of good information. But believe me the five day fast forward is not easy unless you like bland food and only 3 bites of it.
